THE VIENNABIENALE is an outstanding project carried out by few very interessting individuals. What i find striking at their work, is that in a lot of other western cities such a project would be quite impossible.

As example, for any kind of political artists, groups and other active individuals, here in Vienna, Berlin is a kind of reference pattern, and a lot of actions are messured with, how would that be seen or carried out in Berlin? With a bit of anger, with a bit of jealousness but sometimes also with the wish to produce something with qualitiy which could stand international competition.

I believe here, that a thing like the VIENNABIENNALE is very special, in this case, what can be assumed as some kind of initiative from the Offscene, occupied the term “Biennale” but not as reaction, and carries out a project, which can stand any international comparisson.
